| Neighborhood Description: | Nestled in the lovely scenic north shore of Lake Mendota, the Lerdahl Park neighborhood enjoys cool breezes and inviting sunshine. Lakefront homes along Woodward Drive to modest single-family homes makeup our rustic feeling, heavily wooded neighborhood. A walk along Woodward Drive, a narrow, wooded road, is peaceful. Neighbors walk to Warner Park Beach for water fun activities and to Governor's Island to take in the sunrises and sunsets. It is hard to believe a quiet, peaceful neighborhood like Lerdahl exists in a urban setting. We are a purely residential neighborhood whose families are dedicated to helping one another and supporting our neighborhood school, Mendota Elementary. Troy Gardens Community Gardens are located nearby for the individual that loves to grow vegetables and flowers. |
