Goodnight Moon, first published in 1947, is a celebration of familiar nighttime rituals, while The Runaway Bunny is about a mother’s reassuring response to a make-believe plan to leave home. Both stories feature beloved rabbit characters and their soothing bunny banter, to which generations of kids have drifted to sleep.
