About the Workshops

Overture Center's Educator Workshops in the Arts give teachers creative tools to increase student participation and motivation through the arts. Each program is fully participatory, preparing teachers to incorporate a teaching unit into their classroom immediately. This is an opportunity for professional and personal growth in an enjoyable environment with your peers. The workshops are designed in association with the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

Kennedy Center: Partners in Education Program
Overture Center for the Arts, the Madison Metropolitan School District, and the UW-Madison Office of Education Outreach are members of the Partners in Education Program of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. The program is designed to assist cultural organizations throughout the nation to develop and/or expand educational partnerships with their local school systems. The purpose of the partnerships is the establishment or expansion of professional development programs in the arts for all teachers.
