Haiku Double Vision
Gallery II
Opening Reception: Saturday, November 22, 4-6 PM
This show grew out of a group adventure by Linda Grimmer, Marie May, Jane Scharer, and Dick Walker, who have worked for years together in a weekly printmaking studio. These four artists have combined their original prints, drawings, and photographs with haiku. An English haiku poem (an adaptation of the brief Japanese nature poem, typically only seventeen syllables long) has been written by CX Dillhunt for each work and is displayed with its companion piece. The results are these new creations of paired and combined works that reflect the universal theme of integrating nature into everyday life.
