Oakwood Village Retirement Community
Gallery III
Believing that expressing oneself through art, music or writing is an opportunity that should be explored by all ages, Oakwood Village supports self-expression through the creation of art and music, fostering both group and individual activities. The development of this show began under the direction of Oakwood’s Art Therapy program. Works by 22 individuals, both first-time and long-established artists, employ a variety of media and draw on the artists’ diverse backgrounds. “Experiences that have shaped our lives are reflected in our paintings,” shares one artist. Says another: “I can’t imagine life without painting and my friendships with other ‘budding artists.’”
