Help Chuck find the Great Horned Owls and Barred Owls that roost like big lumps in the trees but are still almost invisible. What do the brightly colored woodpeckers and other birds and animals you see find to eat in the winter?
Join a naturalist for a family-friendly nature walk starting at Picnic Point to discover the UW Lakeshore Nature Preserve including historic woodlands, native mounds, restored Biocore Prairie and beautiful Lake Mendota shoreline. Walks at UW Lakeshore Nature Preserve the 4th Sunday every month are co-sponsored by Madison Bird City FUN partners Friends of the Lakeshore Nature Preserve and Madison Audubon Society.
