Herbal Institute: Herbs for Stress Relief

Stress is an ever present force in our world. And the question isn’t how
we eliminate it, it’s how we support our body when it’s influence adversely affects our 
health. In this talk, Kathy Eich will introduce plants that are nervine tonics, and their 
application in Central Nervous System overstimulation, or Autonomic Nervous System 
overstimulation. She will also talk about how to use nervine tonics for long term health 
strategies , in first aid and acute situations. Plants addressed- skullcap, blue vervain, St. 
Johns wort, motherwort. This program is offered in partnership with The Madison Herbal 
Institute. The Madison Herbal Institute (MHI) has been growing organically since 1999. 
It blossomed from an herbal study group with the intention of providing herbal education
