health. In this talk, Kathy Eich will introduce plants that are nervine tonics, and their
application in Central Nervous System overstimulation, or Autonomic Nervous System
overstimulation. She will also talk about how to use nervine tonics for long term health
strategies , in first aid and acute situations. Plants addressed- skullcap, blue vervain, St.
Johns wort, motherwort. This program is offered in partnership with The Madison Herbal
Institute. The Madison Herbal Institute (MHI) has been growing organically since 1999.
It blossomed from an herbal study group with the intention of providing herbal education
