Date & Time:
Tuesday, April 17, 2018 - 10:00am to 12:00pm
Location(s):
Madison Senior Center
330 West Mifflin Street
Madison, WI 53703

MSC has teamed up with the Rape Crisis Center to offer a series of workshops for women about protecting oneself in a variety of situations. Topics to be addressed include Confronting Pressure (awkward situations), physical and sexual assault, stalking and other situations participants bring up in discussions. The importance of confidentiality will be stressed.

Whether it's a doctor with a specialized degree or a dude with a lead pipe, we may sometimes encounter people who use a variety of techniques to pressure or coerce us into following their instructions. This workshop focuses on developing techniques to resist these kinds of pressure, whoever it's coming from.

Funding for this program is provided by the Madison Senior Center Foundation.
