Giving Thanks and Giving

Wildlife in Wisconsin is safe while I'm out hunting. In five days of looking for ducks and deer, I came up empty. But I had a great time out on the water and in the woods. Now it's time to clean the guns and put away the hunting clothes until April when I go back to the fields to let wild turkeys get away.
It's also time to wish you a happy Thanksgiving. For a lot of people, myself included, Thanksgiving is our favorite holiday. It doesn't ask much of us except to eat and watch football.
And while we're being thankful for free range turkeys and the Green Bay Packers (not to be confused), it's good to remember those who have less to be grateful for. There are many food pantries and meal programs in our community that you might want to contribute to this Thanksgiving. To find out which are most in need of help, contact the Community Action Coalition at 246-4790 x 206.
Have a great Thanksgiving!
