One Out of Three

It was a big weekend for sports in Madison. The men's basketball Badgers knocked off fourth ranked Purdue on Saturday, but that was the only bright spot behind two very dark clouds. The Packers lost a heart-breaker to Arizona in an otherwise exciting shoot out. And in the biggest disappointment of all, in the annual City Employees Bowling Tournament, a Mayor's Office team, clearly weakened from overwork on behalf of the people of Madison, was crushed by a Council crew that apparently spends a lot of time in bowling alleys. Final results for the winners of the whole tournament should be in late this week.
