Listening Session Tonight
March 30, 2011 1:57 PM
When the Republican-controlled Joint Finance Committee scheduled its hearings on Governor Walker's proposed state budget, they skipped Madison. In response, I've scheduled a community listening session on the implications of the Governor's budget for tonight, March 30th from 6 to 9pm at Madison Memorial High School, 201 South Gammon Road.
Joining me will be several area state legislators, Madison public school officials, alders, county supervisors and representatives of Madison College (MATC). A recording of the testimony will be sent to Joint Finance and the Governor. If you don't want to speak, you can fill out a sheet with your concerns and those will also be sent on to them.
This is a chance to make your voice heard.
