Voter Registration Outside of Clerk’s Office Now Closed

Registration Available in Clerk's Office through October 31

Although the deadline has passed to register to vote by mail, at the library, or through a Special Registration Deputy, voter registration remains available in the City Clerk’s Office through Friday, October 31. 
 
From October 20 through October 31 the Madison City Clerk’s Office will be open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. for absentee voting and voter registration.
 
Voter registration is also available at the polls on Election Day.  To find your polling place, visit www.cityofmadison.com/WhereDoIVote.
 
All voter registrations must be accompanied by proof of address—one of the following documents showing the voter’s current name and current address:
 

  • Utility bill issued in the last 90 days
  • Bank or credit union statement
  • Wisconsin driver license/ID
  • Government document/check
  • Paycheck
  • Residential Lease

Voters may visit https://MyVote.wi.gov to check their voter registration, see a sample ballot, check on the status of an absentee request, or find their polling place.

Photo ID will not be required to vote in the November election.
