    Although most national calendars indicate that today is an election day, there is no election in the City of Madison today.  The next elections in the City of Madison will be:  

  • 09/22/2015 Schedule of National Voter Registration Day Events

    Tuesday, September 22, is National Voter Registration Day.  Election officials will be registering voters and providing information about voter ID today at the following locations:   

  • 09/18/2015 Events Scheduled for National Voter Registration Day

    In honor of National Voter Registration Day, election officials will be available throughout the City of Madison to register voters and provide information about voter ID on Tuesday, September 22.

    At tonight’s Common Council meeting, Council President Denise DeMarb will be making a motion to directly refer two agenda items related to the Judge Doyle Square Project to the September 15, 2015 Common Council meeting for

    The Madison City Clerk’s Office is offering three training sessions in August for individuals interested in becoming Voter Education Ambassadors.

    The Madison City Clerk’s Office is hosting a mock election for children to learn about the voting process firsthand through a superhero themed election.  

  • 05/19/2015 Mattress and Box Spring Recycling is Back

    The Streets Division is happy to announce that our mattress and box spring recycling program is back.  Effective immediately, all mattresses and box springs placed at the curb for large item pick up will be recycled.

  • 02/02/2015 Extended Hours for Absentee Voting

    City of Madison voters may cast Spring Primary absentee ballots in the City Clerk’s Office beginning today.  The Madison City Clerk's Office will be open for voting from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

  • 02/02/2015 Snow Emergency Continues Until 7 a.m. Tuesday

    A snow emergency remains in effect for the entire City of Madison until 7 a.m.

  • 02/01/2015 Madison Declares a Snow Emergency

    The City of Madison has declared a snow emergency.  That means that alternate side parking restrictions will be in effect throughout the entire City of Madison including the downtown/isthmus snow emergency zone.

  • 01/14/2015 No Refuse or Recycling Collection Monday 1/19/15

    There will be no refuse or recycling collection on Monday January 19th because of the Martin Luther King Jr.
