The City of Madison has issued a total of 30,409 absentee ballots for the November 6 General Election. 18,758 of those absentees were issued to in-person absentee voters at the City Clerk's Office.

In the City of Madison, 120,739 voters cast ballots in the June 5 Recall Election. Turnout was equal to 73 percent of pre-registered voters, and 63 percent of eligible voters.
05/31/2012 Voter ID NOT required June 5
The law requiring voters to show photo identification at the polls is under injunction, and voters will not be required to show ID at the polls on Tuesday, June 5.

Fifty-one eligible voters in the City of Madison intended to register and vote at the polls this Tuesday, but were unable to do so because they did not have an acceptable document to prove their address.
03/22/2012 Clerk's Office Extended Hours for Absentee Voting
The Madison City Clerk's Office will offer extended hours for absentee voting this Saturday, March 24, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and this Sunday, March 25, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
02/23/2012 Provisional Voters: Get Your Ballot Counted!
Provisional voters have until 4 p.m. Friday to provide the City Clerk's Office with their photo identification. The Board of Canvassers will meet at 4 p.m.
