• Community Resource Program
The Community Resources Program, administered by the Office of Community Services, works through community based non-profit agencies to enhance the health and quality of life in Madison's neighborhoods for children, youth, families and the elderly.

Organizations seeking funding may obtain applications in May of even years.  Citizen committees review proposals and make funding recommendations to the Mayor and Common Council.  All allocations are adopted by the Common Council as part of the City's annual budget.

The City's budget allocates money through the Community Resources Program in the following program areas:

  • Child Care
  • Support to Families
  • Senior Services
  • Youth Services
  • Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault
  • Community Assistance/Access
  • Planning Councils/Misc.

Additional funding is also provided to agencies through State and Federal grants received by the Office of Community Services.
