Commonwealth Development Opening Westside Office

September 27, 2017 12:09 PM

Tuesday, September 26, 2017

Stephanie Bradley Wilson; 608 239-7772

Madison, WI – Common Wealth Development will open a new service location on the West Side of Madison as an expansion beyond our Williamson Street office to serve as a center for connections to healthy affordable housing, equitable economic development and sustainable land use. Common Wealth will leverage the full capacity of our community development work, that in collaboration, serves as the foundational bedrock of healthy community and economic development, with projects aimed at improving the housing and business climate of our neighborhoods through a people-first approach centered on racial justice and community-level health improvement.

Common Wealth Development opening office location on Raymond Road.

Full operation by November 1, 2017 with limited services by mid-October, 2017.

5902 Raymond Road

Madison, WI 53711

POINT OF CONTACT: Stephanie Bradley Wilson will be available for media contact, or 608-239-7772.

There will be a news conference this afternoon at 4:00 p.m. It will be multifaceted: We will be debuting our new Neighborhood Resource Trailer and perhaps more importantly, we will be announcing a major crime reduction initiative coming to the Raymond Road corridor.

MPD command staff, Common Wealth leaders, and area alderpersons will be among those speaking.

The news conference will be held at the Read On Raymond Road event (again, see attachment) which will be on the grassy area, near the Old National Bank, at the corner of Raymond Rd. and Leland Dr.
