Highway M Closure Friday Night & Stage 2 Work -Please be alert when traveling the CTH M corridor.

Integrity Grading & Excavating will close County Highway M (Pleasant View Road) between McKee Road (CTH PD) and Mid Town Road.  The closure will take place overnight from 9:00 p.m. Friday, August 17 to 7:00 a.m. Saturday, August 18. 

Local traffic and residents will have access to Pleasant View Road between Mid Town Road and Flagstone Drive.

This closure is needed to install underground storm sewer at the McKee Road (CTH PD) intersection as part of the County Highway M reconstruction project. 

Stage: Stage 2- work consists of roadway and structure construction on Raymond Road, CTH M, CTH PD, Mid Town Road, and additional side roads throughout the project limits. Multiple work operations will be taking place on both sides of CTH M, CTH PD, and Mid Town Road.

Work this week (week of 08/20/18):Crews will continue survey and layout operations. Crews will continue Stage 2 storm sewer, watermain, and sanitary sewer installations. Crews will continue Stage 2 grading and gravel placement. Crews will continue electrical installations on Meriter Way, Wellness Way, CTH PD, and CTH M. Crews will continue bridge construction at the CTH PD and CTH M intersection. Crews anticipate to complete structure C-13-2085 at Mid Town Road. Crews will also continue working on R-13-293. Crews anticipate beginning construction on the C-13-2086 structure and retaining wall R-13-300 at CTH PD. Crews anticipate beginning construction on C-13-2084 structure located on Raymond Road.

Crews will continue restoration items as graded areas are complete. Crews anticipate placing curb and gutter and HMA pavement north of CTH PD on CTH M. Crew anticipates closing Prairie Oaks Drive in Verona for reconstructing the intersection with North Main Street. See Traffic Impacts for more information.

Work scheduled for the next week (week of 08/27/18):

Crews will continue storm sewer installation along CTH M in the Stage 2 limits. Crews will continue watermain and sanitary sewer work throughout the project. Crews will continue Stage 2 grading and gravel placement.

Crews will continue bridge construction at the CTH PD and CTH M intersection. Crews will continue work on retaining wall R-13-293. Crews will also continue work on the C-13-2086 structure and retaining walls R-13-300 at CTH PD. Crews will continue working on the C-13-2084 structure on Raymond Road. Crews will continue electrical installations throughout the project. Crew anticipates completing the storm sewer crossing on CTH M, north of CTH PD.

Traffic impacts - Prairie Oaks Drive in Verona is anticipated to be closed to traffic from North Edge Trail to North Main Street (CTH M) beginning Monday, August 20, 2018 at 6am. Prairie Oaks Drive is anticipated to be closed through Thursday, August 23, 2018, for reconstructing the intersection with North Main Street. 
The traffic pattern on CTH M will remain in the Stage 2 configuration until further notice.
One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained on CTH M, CTH PD, and Mid Town Road on the existing travel lanes during peak travel times. Roadway flagging operations will be taking place periodically throughout Stage 2 between the hours of 9am and 3pm and overnight between 7pm and 6am.

General Project Information –

The reconstruction of CTH M includes earthwork, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main, base aggregate, concrete curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, HMA pavement, Structures B-13-845, retaining walls, street lighting, traffic signals. The overall work is scheduled for completion on November 1, 2019 with several interim completion dates.

Project Schedule: Overall Completion Date: November 1, 2019.

Interim Completion Dates: November 15, 2018- CTH M, CTH PD, Mid Town Road. (Switch to Stage 3). November 15, 2018- Raymond Road, Meriter Way, and Wellness Way. (All work complete.)
