Information on Proposed Development for 1900-1910 E. Washington

The owner of the properties at 1900, 1902 and 1906 E. Washington, Mr. Koua Vang, is proposing a mixed use development for the corner of E. Washington Ave and First St. This would demolish the existing building at 1900-1902 E. Wash (the tattoo parlor) and the two three-flats immediately east (Mr. Vang has an option on the property at 1910 E. Wash) and possibly the house immeadiately south on First St. (Mr. Vang has spoken with this owner). I have hosted four meetings for the neighborhood on this proposal and will be hosting more. The owner and his architect, John Sutton, have not submitted a formal application to the city yet. Check back for updates on the proposal and when the next meeting is. You can also contact me directly for more information.

Outline of Concept plan:
Three story, mixed use with one level of underground parking, retail/commercial on the first floor and two floors of residential condos.

Next Meeting: Jan 31, 9am, Bashford Church

If you are interested in participating in a neighborhood steering committee for this proposed development, please email district12@cityofmadison.com

If you have questions about the project, please feel free to contact me, or John Sutton of Sutton Architecture at 255-1245.
