Shots Fired in District 14
Wednesday, October 11, 2017 around 7:20 pm shots were fired on Fisher Street. A young male showed up at a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Investigation continues.
In the last few years we have experienced "shots fired" all over the City of Madison. However, it is still disturbing to hear, and even more when it happens in our neighborhood. Rest assured that the Common Council, MPD, and a multitude of other organizations as well as individuals are all working together to find a solution. Even with those efforts like you my heart sinks every time I hear "shots fired."

The $1.5 million construction project started in June 2017 will renovate the existing shelter as a large, free-standing, open-air canopied space. The shelter renovation will create a more open and welcoming space and the new concession/restroom building will be conveniently located for both shelter and athletic field events. The work will also include a new parking lot and other site improvements, and the final completion date in early spring 2018.
