STOUGHTON ROAD: PFLAUM & BUCKEYE INTERSECTIONS WEEKLY CONSTRUTION UPDATE – FRIDAY, OCTOBER 3RD, 2014 PROJECT ID: 5410-02-71/72  LOCATION: USH 51 (Stoughton Road) intersection with Pflaum Road and with Buckeye Road DURATION: August 18th, 2014 to November 2014 DESCRIPTION:  Major improvements include: ? Traffic signal and signing replacement ? Monotube traffic signal and overhead sign structure installations ? Concrete pavement replacement and repair on Pflaum Road, Buckeye Road, and USH 51 ? Concrete island reconstruction  UPCOMING CONSTRUCTION OPERATIONS: ? Permanent electrical installations for the new traffic signal system  ? Completing concrete pavement repairs on USH 51 at Pflaum Road (nightly with lane closures) ? Concrete curb and sidewalk in the medians of USH 51 (nightly with lane closures) ? Concrete curb and sidewalk for the islands at Pflaum Road ? Storm sewer work in the USH 51 median at Pflaum Road (nightly with lane closures) ? Concrete pavement replacement at Pflaum Rd ? Concrete median replacement at Buckeye Rd UPCOMING TRAFFIC IMPACTS: ? Pflaum Road & Buckeye Road Lane Restrictions: o IMPORTANT: All left turns from Pflaum Road to USH 51 and from USH 51 to Pflaum Road will be restricted Monday, October 6th from 7pm – 6am.  o Pflaum Rd will change to 'Stage 3' traffic configuration Wednesday/ Thursday (see attached). Significant delays are expected during peak travel times. Using an alternate route is recommended. o Buckeye Rd will change to 'Stage 3' traffic configuration Wednesday/ Thursday (see attached).  o Delays are expected on Pflaum & Buckeye during peak travel times ? USH 51 Nighttime Lane Closures (Concrete pavement repairs): o Night of Monday 10/06: ? 7pm – 6am: Northbound USH 51 left lane closure from Pflaum Rd to Buckeye Rd ? 7pm – 6am: Southbound USH 51 left lane closure from Buckeye Rd to Pflaum Rd ? 7pm – 6am: ALL LEFT TURNS WILL BE RESTRICTED FROM PFLAUM RD TO USH 51 AND FROM USH 51 TO PFLAUM RD ? Please use an alternate route if possible.  o Night of Tuesday 10/07: ? 7pm – 6am: Northbound USH 51 left lane closure from Pflaum Rd to Buckeye Rd ? 7pm – 6am: Southbound USH 51 left lane closure from Buckeye Rd to Pflaum Rd ? 9pm – 2am: Northbound USH 51 LT turn to WB Buckeye Rd will be closed ? 9pm – 2am: Southbound USH 51 LT turn to EB Buckeye Rd will be closed o Night of Wednesday  10/08: ? 7pm – 6am: Northbound USH 51 left lane closure from Pflaum Rd to Buckeye Rd ? 7pm – 6am: Southbound USH 51 left lane closure from Buckeye Rd to Pflaum Rd ? 7pm – 6am: Southbound USH 51 LT turn to EB Pflaum Rd will be closed o Night of Thursday 10/09: ? 7pm – 6am: Northbound USH 51 left lane closure from Pflaum Rd to Buckeye Rd ? 7pm – 6am: Southbound USH 51 left lane closure from Buckeye Rd to Pflaum Rd ? 9pm – 2am: Northbound USH 51 LT turn to WB Pflaum Rd will be closed ? 9pm – 2am: Southbound USH 51 LT turn to EB Pflaum Rd will be closed ? Delays are expected on USH 51 during the nighttime lane closures Note that the anticipated work above is based on the Contractor's current schedule and is subject to change depending on weather and field conditions encountered.  Please take extra caution and slow down when travelling through the work zone.
