Say farewell to Capt. Lengfeld with a listening sesson Nov. 9
After five years as captain of the west police district, Jay Lengfeld is moving to a new position. MPD does these reassignments regularly for cross-training and to keep their command staff fresh. Please come say thank you to the captain for his service to our district and discuss any issues regarding public safety that you'd like to bring up.
------------------------------------
In 2012 I will be assigned to the Executive Captain of Operations (ECO) position and Capt Vic Wahl will be assigned as the District Captain of the West Police District. The last five years have been very challenging, but very rewarding. We (community and police) have accomplished many good things over this time period and have set the stage to accomplish more in the coming years. It is only fitting that I end my tenure in the West Police District as it started with a district-wide listening session.
West District Wide Listening Session
November 9, 2011
7 PM to 8:30 PM
Madison Memorial High School
The listening session in 2007 was very helpful in the development of a short term, intermediate and long term plan for the West District. It is important for us to hear from the residents on what their concerns are and ideas are for making the West District safer and better place to live. Please put this on your calendar and pass the word around about the listening session. See you on November 9th!
