The week of January 27 has items of possible interest to residents of district 2 at the Plan Commission, the Neighborhood Grant Program Workshop, the Brownfields Assessment Program Eastside Planning Council meeting, the Pahl Tire (202 E. Washington Ave) Site Development Proposal neighborhood meeting, and the Yahara River Corridor Public meeting.  The agenda items are open for testimony from the public should you be interested in weighing in.  I also appreciate hearing from you on any items on which you have a particularly interest or concern so please send me an email or give me a call.

There is a proposal by the North Central Group to demolish the Pahl Tire building at 202 E. Washington Ave and the adjacent house at 15 N. Webster Street to construct a 150-room, 10--story hotel.  Hotel parking is anticipated to be through a combination of underground parking on-site (up to 50 stalls) and off-site leased stalls in the Capitol Square North Garage and/or the Brayton Lot.  Attendees will learn about the proposal and have an opportunity to ask questions and provide input.


Yahara River Corridor Public Meeting

The City of Madison's Planning Division is hosting a meeting to continue the discussion regarding the Yahara River Corridor. The purpose of this meeting will be to review the community input from the September 25, 2013 public meeting and further explore implementation of previous planning efforts.
