Week of January 25 Meetings of Possible Interest to District 2

The week of January 25 has items of possible interest to residents of district 2 at the Board of Estimates, the Urban Design Commission, the Parks Long Range Planning Subcommittee, a Neighborhood Discussion about the Future of the Madison Public Market District and a Neighborhood Meeting about Festival Foods' Application for an Alcohol License to Serve Beer, Wine and Spirits. The city meeting agenda items are open for testimony from the public should you be interested in weighing in.  I also appreciate hearing from you on any items on which you have a particular interest or concern so please send me an email or give me a call.

Also, committees and commissions have an opportunity at the beginning of each agenda for Public Comment on items not on the agenda.  If you have something you want to share with a committee or commission, you can use the Public Comment time to do so.

Authorizing the Madison Parking Utility to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for architectural and engineering services required to design an approximately 650-stall parking facility on the south east corner of the intersection of East Main Street and South Livingston Street.

On this agenda at the request of Ald. Zellers and Ald. Rummel. The EDC was not able to meet for lack of a quorum.

CLOSED SESSION NOTICE

When the Board of Estimates considers the following item, it may go into closed session pursuant to Section 19.85(1)(e), Wisconsin Statutes, which reads as follows: Deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session. If the Board of Estimates does convene in closed session as described above, upon completion of the closed session, notice is hereby given that it may reconvene in open session to consider the following item without waiting 12 hours, pursuant to Wis. Stats. Sec. 19.85(2).

Neighborhood Discussion about the Future of the Madison Public Market District

Neighborhood Meeting about Festival Foods' Application for an Alcohol License to Serve Beer, Wine and Spirits

Please join me for a meeting where we will hear about Festival Foods' application for an alcohol license to serve beer, wine and spirits at 810 E. Washington Avenue. This is an additional license to the one they have for selling packaged beer, wine and alcohol.  They also may apply for an entertainment license for having live music. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback.
