The week of January 18 has items of possible interest to residents of district 2 at the Building Code, Fire Code, Conveyance Code and Licensing Appeals Board; the Common Council; the Street Use Staff Commission; the Board of Public Works; the Urban Design Commission; the Alcohol License Review Committee; the Landlord and Tenant Issues Committee and the Madison Local Food Committee. The city meeting agenda items are open for testimony from the public should you be interested in weighing in.  I also appreciate hearing from you on any items on which you have a particular interest or concern so please send me an email or give me a call.

Also, committees and commissions have an opportunity at the beginning of each agenda for Public Comment on items not on the agenda.  If you have something you want to share with a committee or commission, you can use the Public Comment time to do so.

David Gebauer President of the Hobbs Van Vleck Condo Association appeals MGO.10.085. The rule requires that a parking facility for more than 3 cars provide at least .25 footcandles on any surface with an average illumination level of at least .75 footcandles. The uniformity ration shall be no greater than 4:1. In addition the appeal includes MGO 27.04(2)(G)(5) that requires the lighting. The variance requested is to use borrowed light.
