Highlights this week. Two separate projects are seeking both rezoning and conditional use approval at Plan Commission on Monday. If you are interested in these items and plan to contact the Plan Commission or attend, you may want to review the Conditional Use standards. The Spark, the American Family office development proposal for the 800 blk of E Washington, will be at the MNA preservation and development committee on Tuesday.

On Wednesday the Transit and Parking Commission will have an informational item on Willy St bus detour study. Take a look at the draft survey and running time comps in legistar.

Upcoming neighborhood meeting: August 31 -  I am working with MNA to convene a neighborhood meeting on the Metro study to permanently relocate buses to Willy St. Please hold the date for August 31, details will be forthcoming.

Architects from Eppstein Uhen will make an informational presentation on the proposed American Family development "The Spark" on the 800 block south E Washington. I will organize a neighborhood meeting soon but this will be the first look at the project.

I will be on the panel with several other affordable housing and homeless activists including Sup Heidi Wegleitner, Dean Loumos of Housing Initiiatives and School Bd member and Linda Ketcham of Madison Urban Ministry and chair of the City County Homeless Issues Committee to discuss the Homeless Day Resource Center, now proposed for D6 at 615 E Washington.
