Neighborhood Meeting: 4/23/14 - Proposed Development 651 E. Wilson Street

April 15, 2014 2:08 PM

Marty Rifken proposes to demolish the one-story commercial building at 702-706 Williamson Street and construct a new, six-story building with approximately 7,500 square feet of commercial space on the ground floor and 60 units of apartments on the upper five floors.  There would be a 30-stall lower level garage on site and 30 stalls of surface parking in the lot across the street at 651 E. Wilson Street.

Since March, neighbors have been working with the development team to look at setbacks at the ground level to improve visibility at the Blount Street intersection, upper story treatment including stepbacks to protect Capitol views from Jenifer Street, the proposed height in regard to Willy Street BUILD II recommendations and Third Lake Ridge Historic District standards and whether there will be affordable units in the development.

Please join me for a second neighborhood meeting where we will hear about Mr. Rifken's responses to neighborhood concerns.  You will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback.

Wednesday, April 23, 2014
6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
