Neighborhood Meeting: 1/16/13 Re: Youth Services Redevelopment Proposal

January 9, 2013 4:08 PM

Dear Neighbor,

Youth Services of Southern Wisconsin, Inc. proposes to demolish the McDonald's restaurant at 3051 E. Washington Avenue and construct a facility where they would provide no-cost individual counseling for youths, family counseling, youth groups, youth employment programs and support groups for parents.  The building would be two stories of approximately 9,000 square feet each and would include staff offices; counseling, meeting and group rooms for clients and their families; community meeting space; and an eight bed, short-term (28 days maximum) housing unit for runaway and homeless youth ages 13-17, which would be staffed 24/7/365.

Please join representatives from Youth Services, City staff and me to learn more about this proposal.  You will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback.
