D6 Items of Interest Week of October 24, 2016

Highlights this week include operating budget amendments at Bd of Estimates on Monday. BOE will also review the development agreement for the 800 blk south E Washington Cosmos/Spark and the adjacent parking structure, the approval of a consultant to conduct review of MPD policies and procedures, and the new park impact fee and land use dedication requirements.

On Tuesday, Ped-Bike will take up the prohibition of panhandling in medians and info from Alder Zellers on Idling and Air Quality ordinance she is working on. 

As a follow up the the meeting regarding the development at 134 S Fair Oaks I held last week, a steering committee will meet with the developer on Tuesday to discuss the issues raised at the meeting. Stone House explained they are on a fast schedule get land use approvals by 12/31/16 per requirements of the city's affordable housing fund which awarded a grant to the project.

Wednesday is the CCOC Subcommittee on Police and Community Relations. We are meeting around the city to try to connect with different parts of the community. Join us this week at Goodman, please attend if you are interested.

Thursday is a community meal and open house about the Darbo-Worthington-Starkweather plan at the Salvation Army.

19. 43500 Amending Sections 16.23(5)(h)1., 16.23(8)(f), 20.04, 20.09(3), and 20.16(5), repealing Sections 20.08(2) and (6), and recreating Section 20.08(2) of the Madison General Ordinances to recreate a combined park impact fee and update the park and open space land dedication requirements for the City of Madison.
