Neighborhood Grants

2017 Neighborhood Grant Program

The Department of Planning and Community & Economic Development, Planning Division, has a grant program designed to help neighborhood associations build capacity and beautify public places. The grant program helps to improve the quality of life within neighborhoods, and the City as a whole.

Grant Program Steps

  • Meet with your neighborhood to plan a project.
  • Attend the optional Grant Workshop on January 18, 6:00 p.m. at the City-County Building, 210 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Room 103A.
  • Contact Linda Horvath, Planning Division, for a pre-application discussion by February 06, 2017. Call Linda: 608-267-1131 or email: lhorvath@cityofmadison.com.
  • Complete and submit your application by February 27, 2017, 4:30 p.m.

Program Guidelines and Application Forms

  • Click Program Guidelines to learn about eligible applicants and projects, scoring criteria, and program terms and conditions.
  • Click Online Application to complete and submit your application online.
  • Click Application if you would like to print, complete and submit your application to the Planning Division: Linda Horvath, Planning Division, 126 S. Hamilton Street, PO BOX 2985, Madison WI 53701-2985.

You will receive confirmation of receipt of your application within one to two business days by phone or email. If you do not, please call Linda as soon as possible: 608-267-1131.
