The events of September 11 and its aftermath, including anthrax scares, have made it apparent that Madison needs a central clearinghouse for emergency preparedness information, easily accessible to both city employees and city residents. Fortunately, while there have been a number of scares, we in Wisconsin have not been the subject of any nuclear, biological or chemical attacks.
This website will be continually updated with the most reliable information currently available. Related news releases will be available. The website will also be updated as necessary to provide timely information on public health and safety warnings issued by City agencies, including Madison Police, Fire, and Public Health.
