Project Summary

This intersection project, involving the City of Madison, Dane County, and Wisconsin Department of Transportation, is proposed to address growing traffic congestion, pedestrian, bicycle, and transit infrastructure shortcomings, and future growth. The construction is planned to begin in the fall of 2012.

The current plan includes an at-grade intersection for North-bound CTH M/Junction Road and Mineral Point Road, and a split grade intersection for South-bound CTH M/Junction Road and Mineral Point Road. A seperate set of lanes are provided for the South-bound moving vehicles on CTH M/Junction Road to make turning movements on Mineral Point Road.

The proposed schedule is to begin work on the bridge structure in the fall of 2012.  Work on surrounding roadways would begin in early spring of 2013.
