Wisconsin & Southern Railroad is scheduled to conduct routine weed control spraying along railroad tracks in Madison the week of June 16, 2014.
WSOR officials say the weed spraying is a standard measure to control weeds, maximize the effectiveness of existing drainage fascilites, improve safety for railway workers and lengthen the useful life of railway infrastructure.
The schedule may change due to adverse weather conditions, such as wind or rain.

About Weed Control spraying on railroad property
The Wisconsin & Southern Railroad conducts weed and brush control spraying along the tracks two times a year, generally in spring and fall. The application is performed by the railroad company to control weeds, promote effective drainage, improve safety for railroad workers and protect and extend the life of the railroad.
