Wisconsin & Southern Railroad anticipates performing routine weed control spraying along railroad tracks in Madison in June, 2015. The timeframe is yet to be determined and will depend upon weather and contractor availability.
When information about the railroad segment to be sprayed and estimated date range is available, an update will be sent via the my.cityofmadison.com alert system.

About Weed Control spraying on railroad property
The Wisconsin & Southern Railroad conducts weed and brush control spraying along the tracks two times a year, generally in spring and fall. The application is performed by the railroad company to control weeds, promote effective drainage, improve safety for railroad workers and protect and extend the life of the railroad.
