Planned work for the week starting Monday May 28, 1210.

Work 
• The project is in Stage 2 through the end of June+/-. Underground utilities installations will continue the next week+/-. Roadway grading and retaining wall operations are underway.

Traffic
• Traffic will remain on the north half side of the roadway. 
• The project will maintain one lane of traffic in both directions on University Avenue.
• There are NO Left turns from University Avenue to individual driveways. Left turns will be maintained at the intersections only.

Businesses
• All Businesses on University Avenue are open and have access by right turns from University Avenue and surrounding streets. Please plan your route to businesses so that you will only need to turn right into their driveways.
• The next Businesses meeting will be at the construction field office located in the Mid Town Square at 6333 University Avenue, Suite 108, Middleton on Fridays May 11th and 25th, 2012, 9:00 AM.

Pedestrians and Bikes
• Most Bus Stops will be maintained or temporarily moved in the same vicinity.
• One Pedestrian Crossing will be maintained at all signalized intersections.
• An accessible route for bikes will be maintained for the full length of the project utilizing a combination of the existing path and sidewalk on the north side of University Avenue.

 
 

The University Avenue Corridor will be undergoing various states of reconstruction from Allen Blvd. to State St.  The project is scheduled to begin in 2009 and last through 2012.  The pavement throughout this corridor is rated in very poor condition.  While the pavement is being repaired, the City will be repairing many sewer and water pipes under the ground that date back to the late 1800's and early 1900's.
