Mailing Information:
Appliance stickers purchased online will be mailed to the buyer the next working day. There is no added service charge for online purchases.
Appliance Fee Sticker Charges:
- $5.00: Automobile and small truck tires that are removed from the rims. That includes tires from pick-up trucks and sport utility vehicles.
- $10.00: Tires mounted on rims, large truck and tractor tires, Televisions, Computer Monitors, Computer CPUs.
- $15.00: Fluorescent Light Fixtures, Microwave Ovens, Gas Grills, Lawn Mowers, Snow Throwers, Garden Tillers, and small "dorm" refrigerators
- $35.00: Air Compressors, Air Conditioners, Copiers, Dehumidifiers, Dishwashers, Dryers, Freezers, Furnaces, Large Commercial Appliances, Ovens, Ranges, Refrigerators, Stoves, Stove Tops, Trash Compactors, Washers, Water Softeners, and Wood Stoves.
THERE WILL BE NO FEE FOR THE FOLLOWING APPLIANCES:

- Toasters
- Irons
- Toaster Ovens
- Radios

Appliance Disposal Alternatives:
There are several alternatives for you to properly dispose of an old appliance without paying the fee charged by the City of Madison.
There are several dealers who will take used appliances in good working order. Most will not take an appliance if it is more than ten (10) years old. Please refer to the Yellow Pages in the telephone book for used appliance dealers. NOTE: GOODWILL, ST. VINCENT DE PAUL AND OTHER CHARITABLE RESALE SHOPS DO NOT TAKE USED APPLIANCES.
Scrap Dealers:
There are several scrap dealers who will take some appliances. Some charge a fee and at least one dealer will pay for select appliances. Please call the dealer for fee and collection information. Scrap dealers who accept appliances are:
