Q: Where is a lake access permit necessary?
A: Lake access permits are necessary at all City of Madison designated lake access parking lots in City of Madison Parks. The lake access permit is also accepted at Dane County Parks and City of Monona Parks with lake access.
Q: What type of permit can I purchase on-line?
A: Only annual permits can be purchased on-line. Daily permits can be purchased at lake access parking lots.
Q: What are the charges for the different types of permits?
A:
- Dane County Resident (RES) $30
- Non-Dane County Resident (NON-RES) $40
- Dane County Senior (SR) $15
- Non-Dane County Resident Senior (NON-SR) $30
- Disabled (DIS) $15
- Replacement Permit (REPL) $10
- 2nd vehicle Permit (2nd VEH) $10
Q: When does my lake access permit expire?
A: Lake Access permits are good from January 1 thru December 31 annually.
Q: How long does it take to deliver the permit?
A: Please allow up to ten days for delivery of certificates via USPS first class from our office. For an additional fee, permits can be delivered via overnight service.
