SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS AND CHARGES

Special assessment and special charges are levied for improvements made and services provided to real property. They are considered to be liens against the property and are due from the property itself; regardless of ownership. Special assessments and charges are billed during the year and if unpaid, become part of the real estate tax bill issued to the property.
