New AEs - Group PhotoA wave of recent retirements and promotions has ushered in a new group of Apparatus Engineers now serving at a fire station near you!

Apparatus Engineers are responsible for the maintenance checks and operations of the engines and ladder trucks. With a vantage point from the driver's seat, they ensure our firefighter/EMTs arrive quickly and safely at your doorstep should you need fire or emergency medical services.

Candidates are promoted to the position after a competitive process which includes a written test, an “over the road” driving examination, and a practical skills test involving engine pumping and aerial rescue operations.

We’re excited to introduce you to our new AEs all week long on the MFD Blog!
