Image: City of Madison Skyline from Lake MononaLocated in South Central Wisconsin, the City of Madison is a culturally diverse community made up of over 200,000 people.  The city covers about 71 square miles and is built on an Isthmus separating lakes Monona and Mendota.  Madison is the home to Wisconsin's State Capitol and the world-class University of Wisconsin.  Madison offers both small town charm and a range of cultural and recreational opportunities usually found in much larger cities.  The city has exceptional healthcare facilities and some of the best educational institutes in the nation.  Madison also typically boasts one of the lowest unemployment rates in the nation.

Madison is one of the nation's most scenic cities where the State Capitol can be seen from miles around as it stands prominently above the Isthmus.  In addition, a host of picturesque communities, many retaining their strong ethnic heritage, surrounds the city.  The city offers exceptional recreational activities throughout the year from biking to sailing and fishing during the spring, summer, and fall months to cross country skiing and ice fishing in the winter.  The recreational possibilities are endless!
