NOMINATIONS FOR 2006 COUNTYWIDE PUBLIC HEALTH AWARDS


The Dane County Division of Public Health and the Madison Department of Public Health are seeking 
nominations for public health awards. The 9th annual Public Health Awards Ceremony and News Conference will be held the week of April 3rd.

Nominees should be individuals, businesses and organizations who enhance Madison and Dane County public health programs through advocacy, outreach, education and/or direct services. Nominees could be from the public and private sector, including volunteers, direct service providers, educators and policymakers. Environmental health, health care, health promotion and disease/injury prevention are examples of program areas in which nominees may be involved. Current and past employees of the Madison Department of Public Health and the Dane County Division of Public Health and past award winners are not eligible for nomination.  Click here for listing of previous award recipients. Past nominations that have not been selected, may be nominated again.

Please take time to reflect on people and organizations that you have come in contact with that you feel have made a difference in public health.

The deadline for nominations is Wednesday, February 22, 2006.

Award recipients will be notified by mid-March.
