Due to elevated bacteria counts at Olin Park Beach, swimming is not recommended. Another notification will be issued when monitoring determines that the bacteria levels have returned to acceptable levels. Madison Department of Public Health routinely tests Madison beaches for water quality.

Regular lifeguard season for 2004 has ended. People may use the beaches at their own risk.
