Infant and Child Health Care
The Madison Department of Public Health can provide information and services for children in the following ways:
- Breastfeeding Support
- Clinics for children
- Dental Services for children
- Immunizations for children
- Lead screening and information
- Payment for children's health care (Free or Low Cost Health Insurance)
- Public Health Nursing support for families with infants and children at risk for health problems. Services may include education about infant or child care, safety and parenting. It may also include referral to other providers or community agencies.
- WIC (Women, Infants and Children) nutrition education, health assessment and provision of food vouchers for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, and for children under 5 years of age: women, infants and children).
