The re-use and sharing of syringes can transmit disease, such as HIV and Hepatitis B and C. Needle Exchange can prevent this transmission from occurring. Public Health Madison and Dane County (PHMDC) Needle Exchange gives new syringes for used ones with no questions asked, and no names used.

• HIV antibody testing, Hepatitis A and B vaccines, bleach kits, condoms, and other health referrals are available upon request.
