Pregnancy Health

Madison Public Health Nurses can help pregnant women:

  • Find a prenatal care provider.
  • Learn about community resources for families.
  • Increase their chances of having a healthy baby by providing support services (Prenatal Care Coordination) to help them. Services may include health education and counseling, referral to other agencies for needed help, and transportation to medical appointments.
  • Find free or low-cost health insurance for themselves and their families (e.g., Healthy Start, Medicaid/Medical Assistance, and Badger Care)
  • Fish Consumption: For Pregnant Women and Children
