Early Thursday morning Madison Police responded to Wiggie's Bar for a report of a fight. Officers determined a 17-year old young woman had brought a small baseball bat, or wooden baton, into the bar and started swinging it. Witnesses say she connected with chairs and the pool table, and also swung it at, or near, customers. No one was hit. The suspect said she had earlier gotten into a dispute with another woman at the bar. She says she felt threatened by this woman and that is why she went to her car and retrieved the bat. She told police she had used a fake identification card to get in the tavern. |
