Early Sunday morning, around 2:20 a.m., Madison Police were notified of a shot that was just fired outside an apartment building in the 2800 block of Curry Parkway. Officers found a shell casing, and a small amount of blood. The investigation led them to an apartment where two friends were found. They had been outside earlier smoking. The suspect brought the gun out, and it accidentally discharged. The bullet struck his friend in the leg. The wounded man was taken by squad car to a local hospital where he was treated and released. |
