On 6/3/2009 at approximately 11:27pm, Madison Police were dispatched to a local hospital reference a battery that occurred near the 1900 block of Fisher Street. The 19-year-old victim was riding his bicycle in the vicinity at 9:30pm, and since he was unfamiliar with the area decided to ask for directions towards the lake. Three male subjects near the 2100 block of Fisher Street coaxed the victim into following them, and after going a short distance away, proceeded to punch the victim in the face and body. The victim stated he loss consciousness, and determined sometime later that his blue Bianchi Osprey Mountain Bike had been taken. The victim also noted $50.00 in cash, credit cards, and identification were all missing as well.
The victim did not think he would be able to identify the suspects, and very limited suspect description information was offered to police. Additional follow-up is currently being done to gather any information that potential witnesses may have in this case.
