On June 19th, around 11:20 p.m., Madison Police were notified of a battery that had just occurred at Silky's Hot Dog Stand, which was set up in the 400 block of North Frances Street. A 36-year old employee had asked the suspect multiple times to leave the front of the stand so other customers could be served. The man was intent on carrying on an ongoing dialogue with the hot dog stand employees, and refused to step away. The suspect ended up threatening the victim before punching him in the face. The blow knocked the hot dog workers' glasses to the ground. The suspect threw a couple of more punches that missed, and the men wrestled before the suspect ran off as police were called. He was spotted by officers, and caught following a foot chase. |
