| Details |
A 24-year old man helped Madison Police apprehend a pair of suspected burglars over the noon hour Wednesday. He was inside his home in the 100 block of East Lakeside Street when he heard the glass or a rear door breaking. He ran out the front door with his cell phone in hand. As he called 911, he yelled back into the house telling intruders police were on their way. The suspects ran out the back door, and the victim followed them - keeping a buffer of approximately one-block between his position and theirs. As he trailed the men, he provided a dispatcher with updates on their movements. Police arrived and were able to arrest two of three. The hunt for the third continues. Investigators believe the suspects targeted the home, and that this was not a random burglary. Nothing appeared to have been taken, and it’s believed the men were scared off before stealing anything. |
