Details	(UPDATED RELEASE, MONDAY MORNING 6/29/2009) Fitchburg Police received a tip Sunday that the car involved in the fatal crash might be parked at the Chalet Gardens apartment complex. The citizen providing the tip was aware that there had been a fatal hit-and-run crash a short distance away on Saturday night. Fitchburg officers located a damaged 1995 Mercury Marquis in the parking lot, and contacted Madison Police. Investigators were able to connect the car's owner Mr. Robert E. Jones, age 27, Fitchburg, with the crime. Dane County Coroner John Stanley has identified the crash victim as: Larry D. Caraway, age 19, Madison. The crash remains under investigation. (ORIGINAL RELEASE) Officers were dispatched to this location for a Motor Vehicle/Pedestrian accident. Responding officers did locate an apparent victim of this accident, who was pronounced dead at the scene. This investigation is ongoing and the search for the suspect vehicle and driver continues. The suspect vehicle will likely have damage to the front area of the vehicle. That damage may include the hood, roof and/or windshield. Anyone having information involving this incident is asked to call the Madison Police Traffic Tip Line at 266-8626. UPDATE: Madison Police have arrested the above named subject in this incident. Community members were vital in this investigation, working with police in locating the vehicle and the suspect. The suspect was booked into the Dane County Jail.
