On Friday night, around 9:12 p.m., Madison Police responded to an armed robbery that had just occurred near the BP gas station, 4501 Verona Road. A 33-year old man said he had just purchased some items, and was walking past a van, when a man inside asked, " Do you wanna smoke some?" The man declined the offer. He says three men they got out of the van and confronted him. He believes one may had a knife. They demanded his wallet. When he did not immediately comply, one robber punched him several times in the head. The men took his wallet, got back in the van, and fled. Later, a passerby located the wallet and returned it to the gas station. The victim's cash was gone. |
